Q: Can I get a description of each of the modules and how they work?

Q: Can I get a description of each of the modules and how they work?

A: Yes there is a description available in the template version of the MyPaddlePage creation area. If you’re past that part and didn’t select the template option here is the info that you would have seen:

My Profile Blog Template

Use this blog feature to share your paddling stories, interesting tidbits, links, jokes, events...whatever you want to share with others.

  • You can delete this first blog by clicking on the pencil located on the right side of the blog module, and just pressing delete at the bottom of the textbox.
  • You can add a new blog by pressing add on the right side of the module.
  • Under the Settings option of this blog module you can choose if you would like to allow comments from public or friends, both, or none at all.
  • If you click the red X at the bottom left of the module it will delete the entire module and all of its contents, so be careful with this button.
  • If you click the pencil next to the red X, you can edit the Title of your blog and name it whatever you wish. You can also select one of the free icons to put next to the title. Under the "Choose a display container/border" you have the option to change the look of this specific blog module.
  • You can also change the width of the module, but it is not recommended.

My Paddle Text

In this module you can place any free-style formatted text on.

  • If you click the red X at the bottom left of the module it will delete the entire module and all of its contents, so be careful with this button.
  • If you click the pencil next to the red X, you can edit the Title of your module and name it whatever you wish. You can also select one of the free icons to put next to the title. Under the "Choose a display container/border" you have the option to change the look of this specific module.
  • You can also change the width of the module, but it is not recommended.

Other MyProfile Template Descriptions are below.

My Paddle Profile

In this module (under the “Edit” button) you can choose what to share and what not to share with other PaddleDog Citizens.

  • Everything in this module is optional.
  • If there are any boxes already filled in that you don’t want to have just delete the content in them.
  • You can also choose to upload a picture to use as your display picture. This picture will show up on your “friends’” pages with your user name underneath.

My Paddle Friends

This section is where anyone you approve to be a “friend” will show up.

  • If you click “Settings,” you have the option to have your friends listed by name or by image. You also have the option for the number of friends you want across (columns) before they start a new row.
  • Under “Pending Requests” you can approve or delete friends. If you have a friend pending it will be red.

My Paddle Pictures

You can upload your personal pictures/images to this module.

  • Under “Settings” there is a feature that allows you to choose the size your picture displays at. We, however, recommend that you don’t choose anything over 300 because we have it defaulting to resize your upload to only 300 pixels wide. Any size over 300 will start to loose the resolution quality.
  • Select “Edit” to upload your images, put them into albums and give them titles. Currently we allow 3 albums with 10 pictures each.

My Paddle Media

In this module you can upload audio and display videos. Just click edit to get started.

My Paddle RSS

In this module you can display RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds. Just click edit to get started.

My Paddle Guestbook

This gives your friends the options to leave you comments.
