MyPaddleMedia Module
The MyPaddleMedia module allows you to upload and play video or audio files on your MyPaddlePage. Please use this module sparingly... we don't won't everyone posting tons of 20meg files!

To use:
  • You must be logged in with your user name.
  • On your MyPaddlePage, select the MyPaddleMedia from the drop down box labeled Modules at the top of the page, select the location and click the add button.
  • Once the media module is on the page, you can edit it for look and location like any other module.
  • To add intro text and upload the audio or video file, click "edit"
  • In the text form, enter whatever intro text you want, if any.
  • Then click the Browse button to navigate and select the file on your computer.
  • Click Upload
  • Select file type: Audio or Video
  • Then select size: I used 250 x on my page for my audio player. Video should probably be 350x350.
  • Then click update.
Under "settings" you can set the display width and whether you won't the clip to auto play when the page loads. (I believe there may be a bug in the program .. I deselected auto play and the clip still plays when the page loads. There should be an update soon, so hopefully it will take care of that.)

To see an example, you can go to my paddle page to see (well, hear) an example.

Re: MyPaddleMedia Module
One thing I noticed was, to hear it on mine using Firefox I had to download the plugin for quicktime. Might help for anyone not being able to play the mp3.

Re: MyPaddleMedia Module
Have you checked to see if it's the newest version of quicktime? ....Sometimes those kind of programs sneak out with updatese that seem to make the old ones completely unfunctional (even if it was working before) so that you have to download it. I'll check with Bill as well, see if he's got any ideas.
