First Paddling Tip
Modified By paddledogbill on 5/3/2007 4:22:22 PM)

I'll get this thread started with a paddling tip I got from Bev Fox of  Fox Paddle Worx. Actually this is a Paddling/Camping tip.

If you enjoy a bit of wine with your evening meal while camping, this if for you. As you know, you can now get decent wine in boxes. Well, once you're finished with the box (that's the fun part!) take the mylar bag out of the box. You can then  inflate it and use it for a pillow, or you can rinse it out real well and use it to carry water. Talk about recycling!

Great idea!  I've been thinking about getting an inflatable pillow since my new self-inflating pad doesn't have one like my old pad.  Being a side sleeper, I cannot sleep very well without a pillow.

Better to be up the creek without a paddle than to not be on the creek at all.

Re: First Paddling Tip
Good tip and for any of y'all that want these pillows/water carriers, I would be happy to host a container emptying party.    Years ago Campmor used to sell something similar with a removable nylon cover with a handle.

Re: First Paddling Tip

My daughter-in-law just emptied (finally) a wine box so I now have the bladder to try as an inflatable pillow.  I'll let you know how it works after my next overnight.
