Going okay, been doing some long training runs, up to 40 milers. The 260 starts June 9th at 9:00AM and ends 100hrs later, finished or not.

I do miss paddling in Apalach though.

I'll give full report after it's over one way or the other.

   Glad to see Nate and Grampa Paddler find there way here. 

   Nate glad to see your training hard for the event. How long does it take you to paddle 40 miles?

It varies depending on conditions. Deep still water 40mi - 7hrs. if running water subtract from time accordingly. If shallow water - a lot slower.

Shallow water effects different hulls differently. Also weight of paddlers in shallow water determines effect.

We are going for 60hr finish for the 260mi. In 2001 we did it in 50hrs 8mins. In 2002 we did it in 54hrs. I am now 63 and my pard 62 and finding out what those, "old farts" meant by, "slowing with age".
